Support for Postpartum Recovery
Your body has done something incredible! After the baby arrives, too many women are left without the tools, guidance, or support they need to heal. Quality postpartum support should include more than just one 6-week, 15-minute visit with your doctor.
At Core and Floor, we believe your recovery matters. Created by a board-certified urogynecologist, our program is designed to help you restore strength, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with your body after pregnancy and birth.
Core & Floor aims to close a critical gap in urogynecologic care by expanding access for postpartum women, a population historically underserved and often excluded from traditional urogynecology care pathways.
Postpartum support that puts you first
Pregnancy transforms your body in powerful way, yet once the baby arrives, our healthcare system often turns the spotlight entirely away from you. Too many women are sent home without a plan, without guidance, and without anyone checking in on their recovery. Months or years later, they are still living with pain, leaking, or a body that doesn’t feel like their own.
At Core and Floor, we’re here to change that. Founded by a board-certified urogynecologist, we fill the gap that traditional postpartum care leaves behind. We offer a postpartum specific, evidence based, guided plan for women after vaginal or c-section birth.
No vague instructions, no “just do some kegels” and move on. Instead, you’ll get expert strategies, clear explanations, and MD led evidence-based interventions so you can restore strength, reclaim confidence, and truly feel like yourself again.
You gave life. Now it’s time to get yours back.
Meet Kerrie Adams, MD
Board-Certified Urogynecologist & Founder of Core and Floor
Dr. Adams founded Core and Floor after years of seeing the same heartbreaking pattern: women arriving in her urogynecology office months or even years after childbirth, feeling frustrated and defeated because no one had given them the tools to heal. Their symptoms were dismissed, never explained, or written off as “just part of being a mom.”
Her commitment to closing this gap began during her service in the U.S. Navy. There, she witnessed fellow servicewomen struggling to meet the demanding physical fitness requirements of their jobs after childbirth without any specialized guidance or resources to restore their core and pelvic floor. Later, in her civilian practice, she saw the same struggles repeated in women from all walks of life, each trying to reclaim their bodies after pregnancy.
A mother and surgeon herself, Dr. Adams understands that real postpartum recovery requires more than time. Recovery requires the right information, targeted exercises, and compassionate support. Core and Floor was built to provide exactly that: a place where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to restore your strength, confidence, and quality of life

Referral to pelvic floor rehabilitation experts
For patients in the Portland Oregon Metro, we offer in person collaborative care with Mendwell Pelvic Health, experts in pelvic floor rehabilitation. Urogynecology and pelvic floor physical therapy working together under one roof provides the convenient and coordinated care women deserve.
When conservative strategies do not improve symptoms, we offer Bulkamid® for stress urinary incontinence as well as Botox® for overactive bladder and pelvic floor pain.
Our goal is to provide earlier, coordinated care so women don’t have to accept pelvic floor symptoms as a normal part of life and motherhood
Recommended Structure of visits
Pelvic floor recovery is rarely a one-visit process. Care is delivered over a series of telehealth sessions
