What We Offer
From postpartum recovery and pelvic floor rehabilitation to bladder and bowel care, hormone-related concerns, and advanced minimally invasive treatments, Core & Floor offers comprehensive pelvic health care designed to support women through every stage of recovery and beyond.
-
Pelvic floor rehabilitation provides individualized treatment for concerns such as urinary leakage, pelvic pressure, pain, core weakness, and changes after pregnancy and birth. Through our collaborative care model with pelvic floor physical therapy, we help patients rebuild strength, coordination, and confidence while supporting a safe return to exercise and everyday activities.
We can refer you to an rehabilition expert near you, offer you basic rehab exercises to do on your own at home, or for patients local to Portland, Oregon we offer collaborative care with Mendwell Pelvic Health in the same clinical space as Core and Floor
-
Breastfeeding naturally lowers estrogen levels, which can cause vaginal dryness, irritation, painful intercourse, and urinary symptoms. This is a normal physiologic process that typically improves after breastfeeding ends—but you shouldn’t have to suffer in the meantime. You should breastfeed for as long as you choose, and we offer individualized treatment to relieve symptoms while supporting your breastfeeding goals.
-
Pessaries offer a simple, non-surgical option for managing pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence. We provide personalized pessary fitting, education, and ongoing management to help you stay comfortable and active through postpartum recovery and beyond.
-
Bulkamid® is a minimally invasive treatment for stress urinary incontinence that uses a soft urethral bulking agent to help reduce leakage with coughing, sneezing, running, or exercise. Because it does not involve placement of a sling, it may be an option for women who desire future fertility and want to improve bladder control without committing to more invasive surgery.
-
Bowel incontinence is very common after pregnancy and delivery. For most women, these symptoms improve with time, managing constipation, and pelvic floor physical therapy.
Sacral nerve modulation (SNM) is an advanced, minimally invasive therapy that uses gentle electrical stimulation of the nerves that help control bowel function. For women with persistent fecal incontinence despite conservative treatments, SNM can significantly reduce bowel accidents and improve confidence and quality of life. SNM can be used in pregnancy, so a woman does not have to be done with childbearing to seek treatment.
-
When medications and conservative treatments aren’t enough, advanced therapies can provide lasting relief from overactive bladder (OAB), urinary urgency, frequency, and urge incontinence. Bladder Botox® works by relaxing an overactive bladder muscle, helping reduce urgency and leakage. Sacral nerve modulation (SNM) uses gentle electrical stimulation to improve communication between the bladder and the nerves that control it. Both treatments are minimally invasive and offer effective options when OAB is interfering with your everyday life. Both therapies are safe to use in women who may desire future pregnancies.
